The Friends of the Ferguson Forest Centre is comprised of a volunteer board of directors, public members, and community volunteers & sponsors, who:
- support the public recreational spaces of Ferguson Forest Centre
- support the preservation of this exceptional setting for future generations
- support the development of the Arboretum
- form a strong community voice for the maintenance and conservation of Ferguson's public recreational lands
The FRIENDS bring experts including field naturalists, naturopathic doctors, and others to lead guided tours and activities throughout the year.
Trails & Recreation
The FRIENDS promote the responsible use of the trails, paths and roadways in the Centre, which include both natural forest paths and gravel paths and roadways.
Throughout the year, the FRIENDS host walks and events to showcase the Centre as a community nature preserve and oasis, where individuals and families can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational pursuits while hidden away from the
increasingly urbanized lands that surround it.
